William B. Cary

CARY- WILLIAM BEVERLY CARY, 82 Of  Woodwards Cove, Grand Manan passed away at home Thursday morning November 20,2014. Bill was born on Grand Manan, the son of the late Samuel and Jeanette (Thompson) Cary.  He was a fisherman before his retirement and fished lobsters, ground fish and scallops. His later years were spent working on lobster traps, cutting wood and operating his portable saw mill.  He has been active in the community serving on several boards and was a past supervisor of Maple Grove Cemetery Co.  Bill is survived by his wife Marilyn(Brown) Cary, one daughter  Linda Cary (Wilbur), one son Ian Cary, one brother Beverly Cary(Ella), one sister Betty MacPherson(Douglas), two granddaughters Cary-Lynn and Kathryn as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother Waverly. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22,2014 at the Immanuel Family Church from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral service will take place on Sunday at 1:30pm with Rev. Mark Munn officiating. Interment to follow in the family plot in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family has requested donations to Immanuel Family Church or Action Ministries.
