Mary Ingalls

 

Mrs. Mary Ingalls formerly of Grand Harbour, Grand Manan Island passed away peacefully at the Grand Manan Nursing Home at the age of 94.  Born in Caraward, Co. Mayo, Ireland, she was the last surviving child of Thomas and Catherine (Lavelle) Leonard.   Mary worked in a munitions factory in England, and was a War Bride. She was predeceased by husband Ernest Ingalls (1990), son Kevin David Ingalls (1965) and granddaughter Kelly Ann Ingalls (1999). She is survived by son Leonard Ernest (Debra) Ingalls of Grand Manan, daughter Catherine Ann White (Kenneth) of Grand Bay-Westfield, four grandchildren, Mike (Joanne) Ingalls, Greg (Erica) Ingalls, Tammy (Mike) Petrie, Kris (Julie) White, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Visiting hours will take place at Ells Funeral Home Wednesday September 3rd  from 7-9 pm.    Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Woodwards Cove, Grand Manan on Thursday September 4, 2014 at 12:00 pm with Fr. Rolando Suplido officiating. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Kelly Ann Ingalls Memorial Scholarship Fund-c/o The Fundy Community Foundation,   Box 3902, St Andrews, N.B. , E5B3S7  or to a charity of the donor's choice.  Funeral arrangements are in the care of Ells Funeral Home Inc., 1199 Route 776, Grand Manan, NB E5G 1G2.
