Madeline E. Avery
1928-2014
The family of Madeline Eunice Avery (Chute) of North Head, Grand Manan Island wish to announce her passing on March 26, 2014 at the Grand Manan Hospital following a brief illness. Born at Wilson's Beach, Campobello N.B., she was the daughter of the late Philmore Chute Jr. and Winifred Chute (Brown). She lived her life serving the Lord and serving others. A strong determination and spirited love of life was evident to all who knew her. Her many interests included her family, her active, faithful membership of the North Head Baptist Church, treasurer of the WMS, canvassing for many charitable organizations, diagnostic health skills, knitting, gardening, and given to hospitality. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 68 yrs. Walter Koren Avery of Grand Manan, daughters Barbara Foote (Jackie) Grand Manan, Elizabeth Wilson (Dale) Fredericton, sons Grant Avery (Deborah) Grand Manan and Paul Avery (Carolyn) Burlington, Ont. Ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings sisters Leona Green (Judson) Grand Manan, Glenys Foster (Ellis) Blacks Harbour, brothers Marsden Chute (Thelma) Campobello, Woodrow Chute (Ann) Chemainis B.C.
Visitation will be held at North Head Baptist Church, Grand Manan on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. Service to be held at North Head Baptist Church on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 1 pm with reception to follow. Memorial donations to the Grand Manan Hospital Foundation, Women's Missionary Society or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
