Janice Sheila Russell

Mrs. Janice S. Russell of North Head, Grand Manan Island, NB passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital Monday January 6, 2014 with her family by her side.  Janice loved her Lord and her family. She worked at the Grand Manan Nursing Home for almost eighteen years which where the happiest times in her life. She will be missed dearly by her family and close friends. Janice is survived by her mother Mrs. Roberta (Smith) Green, her children Lanette (Wade) Wilson, Tina (Wade) Dakin, Darcy Russell and Derek (Angela) Russell all of Grand Manan.  Ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, her companion Mr. Gerald Duguay. She is also survived by two brothers, Dana Green and Tracy (Julanna) Green also of Grand Manan.  Two aunts Florence Griffin and Mabel Smith-Bonnar. Janice was predeceased by her father, Mr. Walter Green, one brother Gary Green and three grandchildren, Raeanne, Joshua and Riley Russell.

Visiting will take place at the Immanuel Family Church, Woodwards Cove on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place from the Church on Thursday January 9, 2014 at 1:00pm with Rev. George Clark officiating and Rev. Mark Munn assisting. Janice had requested donations to be made to the Emmanuel Family Church to support their work in faith, or the IWK Children’s Hospital.  Funeral arrangements are in the care of Ells Funeral Home Inc., 1199 Route 776, Grand Manan, NB E5G 1G2.
