Randy W. Greene

GREENE: RANDY WILLARD; (1947- 2013) Mr. Randy W. Greene OF North Head Grand Manan Island passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday December 27, 2013 with his family by his side following a courageous battle with several health issues.  He was the son of the late Royce Brown and Elsie Greene.  Randy worked at various jobs through his life from operating heavy equipment, managed the Grand Manan Irving Oil Depot, Connors Bros., and worked for the Department of Transportation driving truck.  In his youth he was a great baseball player, and later umpired local ball games on Grand Manan. He enjoyed a good game of cards or a board game with some friends.  Later he spent time with his family and especially his granddaughter Gracie.  He is survived by his wife Ellen Greene.  Two sons Aaron Greene of North Head, and Andrew (Carolyn) Greene of Castalia.  His granddaughter Gracie Mae Greene, his mother-in-law Dorothy Griffin of North Head.  Five sisters; Nina, Lydia, Theresa, Velda, Francie and Carmen.  One brother Stuart.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by one sister Gladys, and two brothers; Scottie and Kurt.

Visiting will take place at Ells Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  The funeral service will take place at the North Head Wesleyan Church on Tuesday December 31, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jasper Rideout officiating.  The internment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are in the care of Ells Funeral Home Inc., 1199 Route 776, Grand Manan, NB E5G 1G2.
