Shirley M. Harris

Shirley M. Harris of Saint John, NB passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital Monday August 16, 2010. She was born at Grand Manan Island on May 15, 1951 the daughter of the late Melvin and Rowena Tucker. Knitting, reading her bible, listening to Elvis Presley music, and enjoying the company of friends were a few of her favorite past times, especially Larry and Phil’s dog Chinookie Baby. Staying in touch with Grand Manan by phone everyday with her family or a visit when her health permitted was a way for her to keep in touch with the people she loved. Shirley faithfully attended and worshipped the Lord at Amazing Love Fellowship. She is survived by her mother Mrs. Rowena Tucker of North Head, her brother Clayton Tucker of North Head. One niece Jennie Tucker of Castalia, one nephew Dylan Tucker of Saint John. Also her two great nephews Ethan and Colby both of Castalia and many friends.
Visiting will take place from the North Head Wesleyan Church on Wednesday from 2 … 4 and 7 … 9 pm. The funeral service will take place from the church on Thursday August 19, 2010 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Clayton Misner officiating and Pastor Jasper Rideout assisting. The interment will take place in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
