Bonna L. Parker
PARKER- Mrs. Bonna L. Parker (77) of North Head Grand Manan Island, NB
passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital Sunday April 20, 2008. She was
the daughter of the late Laurence and Viola (Nee Roberts) Ingersoll.
Working as a seamstress and raising her family Bonna will be sadly missed on the Island. With her warm smile and bright spirit she had an everlasting love for her family, friends, and community. One of her most significant accomplishments and expression of love was when she and Cynthia were instrumental in starting Alcoholics Anonymous on Grand Manan.
She is survived by one daughter Cynthia MacPherson (Roy) of St. Stephen, NB, two sons; Herbert (Susan), and Jeff (Treena) both of North Head, NB. One sister Mrs. Roberta Bass also of North Head. Five grand children, three step grand children, nine great grand children, several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Victor, and her two brothers Herbert and Lawson.
Visiting hours will take place at Ells Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7 … 9 pm. The funeral service will take place from the Church of the Ascension on Wednesday April 23, 2008 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Capt. Dana Dean officiating and Rev. Ron Ford assisting. Interment will follow in the North Head Community Cemetery. The family has requested donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements are in the care of ELLS FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Route #776, Grand Manan, N.B. E5G 1G2.
