Theodore Calvin MALLOCK
MALLOCK … Theodore Calvin … 84 of Campobello Island,
passed away April 1st, 2007 at the Campobello Lodge. Born in
Campobello Island he was the son of the late Walton and Myrtle (Cook)
Malloch.
Theodore was a veteran of the Second World War where he was wounded in France. Following the war he took a position on a Fisheries Patrol Boat Stationed in Campobello. He then found his way to Grand Manan Island where he worked for several years in the fishery at the Connors Sardine Factory and later took a position on the Grand Manan Ferry where he worked for many years and made his home in the village of Seal Cove on Grand Manan Island. In the autumn of 2005 after 60 years Theodore moved into the wonderful care of the Campobello Lodge and was joyfully reunited with many of his relatives and childhood friends in his closing years.
He is survived by his two daughters Charlene Crossman (Jerry) of Moncton, NB; Lucille Steeves (Walter) of Tuscaloosa Alabama, USA; his two sons Ralph (Winnifred) of Fredericton, NB; and William (Katherine) of Seal Cove, NB.; one sister Delphena Doughty (Loring) of St. George, NB.; one brother Royce Malloch (Sheila) Wilson’s Beach, Campobello, NB. Nine Grand Children, Eight Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Gertrude (Linton) in 1999; also one grandson Darren; one Great Grandson Jason; one sister Martha Mills; and two brothers John and Elwood Malloch.
Visiting Hours will be held at Ells Funeral Home Tuesday from 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church Wednesday April 4th, 2007 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Stuart Steves officiating and Rev. Ward McComiskey assisting. Internment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. The family has requested donations may be made to the Resident Council Fund Campobello Lodge or to the Gideons. Funeral arrangements are in care of ELLS FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Route #776, Grand Manan, N.B. E5G 1G2.
