Sylvia Jean Morse

 

Mrs. Sylvia Jean Morse, of Grand Manan, NB, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Grand Manan Nursing Home at the age of 86.

Sylva grew up in Castalia, with her four siblings and her extended family close by. Her faith, music, and her family where very important to her. She was a member of the North Head Wesleyan Church, until it closed. Sylvia loved to sing, she was in the church choir; she was a Sunday school teacher and was also active on the board for several years. Sylvia worked as a Nurses Aid at the Grand Manan Nursing Home for 17 years, until her retirement.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter Caroyl Losier of Seal Cove; son Robert Cook of  Grand Harbour; sister Carol Roxanne (Barry) Ingersoll of Castalia, son-in-law Daniel Brennan of St. Stephen, NB fifteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, step-son Paul Morse, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sylvia is predeceased by her parents, Hollis and Helen Grace (Locke) Richardson, her first husband, Berlin Cook, her second husband Bradford E. Morse, daughters Darlene Brennan, Sheila Trail; sons Hugh Cook, and Joseph Cook; sister Audrey Agrusti, brothers David Richardson and  Cleveland Richardson; sons-in-law Neree Losier, Larry Trail, step-son Wellesley Morse.

There will be a private family visitation, and interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date. If you wish, donations in Sylvia’s memory can be made to The Grand Manan Nursing Home Foundation, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
