Alice Evangeline Guptill

 

 Mrs. Alice Evangeline (Green) Guptill of North Head, Grand Manan, NB, died peacefully, with her family by her side, on December 27, 2018, at the Grand Manan Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

 

Alice is survived by her husband, Maynard Guptill, North Head, son Scott (Deborah) Guptill of Woodward’s Cove, daughters Jonelle (James) Hepditch of Castalia, and Deborah (Ward) Fleet of Fall River, NS, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, her sister Ruth (Albert) Kelly of Hammond’s Plains, NS and five nieces and nephews.

 

Alice was predeceased by her parents: Robert Henry Green and Frances Kathleen (Wilson) Green of Seal Cove, sisters Laura (Llewellyn) Joyce of Swans Island, ME, and Agnes (Merrill) Griffin of North Head.

 

Alice began her working career at Surfside Motel, and ended it at M.G. Fisheries. She assisted her husband Maynard, in their businesses as well.

 

Alice and her family enjoyed spending time at Miller’s Pond, at their camp. She and Maynard were active charter members of the Grand Manan Curling Club. They also enjoyed travelling with friends.

 

Alice’s family will receive friends at Ells Funeral Home, on Saturday, December 29, 208, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.

Funeral Service will be from St. Paul’s Church, Grand Harbour, on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM.

 

In addition to flowers, donations may be made to Charlotte County Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice.
