Zella Pauline Gilmore

Mrs. Zella Pauline Gilmore of North Head, Grand Manan, NB passed away peacefully at the Grand Manan Nursing Home, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, with her daughter by her side.

 

Born (1924) in Jemseg, NB, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Myrtle (Gunter) Dykeman.

 

Zella is survived by her daughter Greta (Layton Peck) of Hampton, NB, her son Glenn Gilmore (Margaret) of North Head, Grand Manan, NB; grandchildren Gillian Gilmore of Rothesay, NB, Gregory Gilmore (Kendra) of Sussex, NB, and Hilary Peck of Ottawa, ON; great granddaughter Grace; one sister-in-law Alice Gilmore of Fredericton, NB, one brother-in-law William Hobday of Edmonton, AB, many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Zella is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Jerome Gilmore (2012), three sisters Barbara Machum, Dorothy Melick, Gloria Hobday; two brothers Andrew and Wallace Dykeman.

 

There will be visitation on Friday, October 19, 2018 at The North Head Baptist Church from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be from The Church on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM.

 

Donations in Zella’s memory could be made to The Woman’s Missionary Society, The North Head Baptist Church or to the donor’s choice.
