Madeline Morse

 

Madeline Morse of White Head, Grand Manan passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning May 2nd at her home with family by her side. She was born at Grand Harbour on June 2nd, 1928 the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Cheney) Knight. Madeline was a loving mother and wife to her family and as well worked very hard as well boning shed boning herring and later ran a local cleaning business. She was a very dedicated member of the White Head Baptist Church as a devoted member of the Choir and worked with the youth in the Sunday School. Madeline was predeceased by her husband in 1985. She was blessed with one daughter Lorna Colwell (Matthew) of Ottawa, three sons Gerald Morse (Catherine ) , Blake Morse (Christine) of White Head, Peter Morse (Debbie) of Calgary, Three sisters (Her Twin) Kathleen Hovey and Dorothy Ferguson (Norman) both of Ludlow, Meredith McCollum, one brother Edward Knight (Donna) of  Castalia, Grand Manan, N.B. One sister in law Marjorie Knight of Fredericton. As well as ten Grandchildren, fifteen Great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred, brother-in-law Keith and brother Dana Knight.

 

Arrangements are under the care of Ells Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the White Head Baptist Church on Sunday May 6, 2018 from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the church on Monday May 7, 2018 at 12:30pm with Rev John Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at White Head Cemetery. Donations in Madeline’s memory can be made to the White Head Baptist Church and White Head Cemetery. Condolences can be made at ww.ells.ca
