Wilbur Allan Green

 

 

Mr. Wilbur A. Green of Grand Manan, NB passed away Thursday morning, September 28, 2017 at The Grand Manan Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Wilbur was the son of the late Oliver (Smiles) 2015 and Alice (Ingalls) Green 2007.

 

Wilbur grew up on the Brownville Road, Grand Manan, and worked in the fishing industry all of his life. Wilbur was known for his dry sense of humor. He loved to spend time with family, and friends, travel, play golf, and cook.

 

Wilbur will be missed by his best friend, soulmate, and  wife Linda (Cary) Green, of Castalia, one daughter Diana Green of  Woodward’s Cove, two sons Ryan Green (Jantina) of Castalia, Patrick Green (Ashley) of Castalia, one granddaughter, Angie Green three brothers Loring Green (Valerie-Sis) of Saint John, NB, Richard Green (Sharon) of Seal Cove, and Stuart Green (Raima) of Ingalls Head, his mothers in law, Marilyn Cary and Jane Lauzier, two step daughters, Cary- Lynn Brown (Josh), Kathryn Brown,  and so many nieces nephews and dear friends. Wilbur was predeceased by his parents, and a son Baby Wilbur (1987).

 

Visiting will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  The Funeral Service will be held from the Immanuel Family Church on Sunday October 1, 2017 at 1:30 pm. with Rev. Ward McComeskey officiating. Wilbur’s family have requested donation be made to the Grand Manan Hospital Foundation, the Charlotte County Cancer, or to the donor’s choice.
