BENSON: JOHN EDWARD (1957 -2017)
Mr. John E. Benson of Grand Harbour, Grand Manan, NB passed away at The Saint John Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, August 15, 2017.
He was born in Grand Manan, N B the son of Mr. James E. Benson and the late Nelda (Wilson) Benson.
John worked at the Connor’s Brothers Factory for almost years, until it closed.
He is survived by his father James, his daughter Dawn Tate (Brian) of Ingalls Head, his son Allen Benson (Lisa Morneau) of Grand Harbour, one granddaughter, Brooke Tate of Ingalls Head, three sisters, Christine Phillips (Ron) of Moncton, NB, Tosha Benson of Castalia, and Lavina Benson of Moncton, four brothers, Albion Benson, of Seal Cove, Peter Benson (Brenda Campbell) of Seal Cove, Howard Benson (Roxanne) of Ingalls Head and Walter Benson of Seal Cove. John also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.
John is predeceased by his mother Nelda (2013) and one brother Theodore Benson (2016)
Visiting will take place at The Seal Cove Baptist Church on Friday August 18, 2017 from 7-9 pm. The funeral will be from the Church on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1:00pm with Rev. Ward McComiskey officiating.
Donation can be made in memory of John to The Charlotte County Cancer, Grand Manan Hospital Foundation or to the donor’s choice.
