WILSON: (BETTY) MILDRED ELIZABETH (BISHOP) (1933-2017)
Mrs. Betty Wilson of Castalia, and formally of Seal Cove, Grand Manan, NB passed away on Thursday June 1st, 2017 to be with her Lord Saviour at the Grand Manan Nursing Home., with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Dora (Guptill) Bishop.
Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, not only to her own family, but also to so many she cared for over the years. She was a member of the Grand Manan Curling Club, Legion Branch #44, and Seal Cove Baptist Church; Betty was a living testimony to her faith. Her purpose in life was bringing smiles to everyone that she met. Children were her daily highlights. Betty touched the hearts of many families where she was the "Nanny" in their homes. She had a special touch and bond with all animals that she came in contact with.
Betty will be sadly missed by her family and those that had contact with her. Betty is survived by three daughters, Heather Kinghorne (Sherman) of Seal Cove, Kimberley Capson, (Wayne) of Riverview, and Pamela Robinson (Grant) of North Head. One son, Gale Wilson (Tammy Leblanc) of Moncton, twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is pre- deceased by her husband Clarence Delhi Wilson, one son, Chadwick Wilson, three sisters, Dorothy Ingram, Virginia Emerson, and Joan Frolley, two brothers Roland and Douglas Bishop.
There will be visiting at Ells Funeral Home, on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 2-4 and 7- 9 pm.
Funeral Service will be on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from Seal Cove Baptist Church at 1:30 pm with Rev. Peter Smith officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Grand Manan Nursing Home Foundation, or to the donor’s choice.
