Albert Joseph Allain

RICHIBUCTO – Albert Allain 71, of Jardineville passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital on Monday, April 17, 2017.  Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia he was the son of the late Laurie Allain and late Doris (Arsenault) Allain.  Before retiring, Albert was employed as a Pipefitter in Toronto, Ontario for many years.  He was a union member of U. A. Local 46 and also the Richibucto Legion Branch No. 30.  He attended NBCC in Moncton. His favorite hobby was photography. 

Albert will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 20 years, Lucienne Robinson (Allain) of Jardineville; one son, Robert LeBlanc (Jacinthe) of Dieppe and one grandson, Danick LeBlanc. 

He is also survived by the mother of his son, Joanne LeBlanc of Memramcook; eight sisters, Cecile Meade (John) of Dieppe, Jacinthe Savoie (Roger) of Dieppe, Aurena Murray (Bernard) of Fredericton, Léontine Legault (Michel) of Richibucto, Monique Martin (Yvon) of Richibucto, Geraldine Allain of Rexton, Denise Robichaud (Maurice) of Aldouane, Laurida Ells (late Phillip) of Grand Manan; two brothers, Ronald (Carmen Bell) of St. Louis, Clarence (Suzana) of St. Charles and many nieces and nephews. 

Albert was a step-father to Kim, Joseph & Shelly, Keith, Christina, Brian & Allana, Margaret & Randy, Michael, Clint, Iona & Jason, Ian & Lorrie and step-grandfather to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9, Saturday at 11:00 am until time of the funeral. A celebration of Albert’s life will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto on Saturday April 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm.  Interment will be held at a later date in the Aldouane Roman Catholic Cemetery.  Donations in Albert’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of the donor’s choice.  The family wish to express a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Stella Maris Hospital and the Extra Mural nurses for the care they provided to Albert.  Also, thank you to the community of Elsipogtog for all their support during this difficult time.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home (523-4252).
