Beverly Brown

1925-2016

BROWN: BEVERLY GERALD (1925-2016) Mr. Bev G. Brown of Seal Cove, Grand Manan Island, NB passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital on Monday, October 24, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born the son of the late Heber and Josie (Green) Brown. Bev was a fisherman all of his life starting his career at the young age of sixteen until his retirement when he was eighty. He was always known as a godly, hard-working, gentle and humble man who never met a stranger.

He was a faithful member of the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church. Bev is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Belva (Ingalls) Brown, three daughters Patricia Brown, Seal Cove, Grand Manan, Virginia Benson (Pete) of Nashville TN, and Jayne Turner of Seal Cove, Grand Manan, one son Tim Brown of Grand Manan and Westchester Station, NS, one brother Keith Brown (Eulah) of Sussex, NB, five grandchildren eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, one daughter in law Wanda Brown, one son in law John Turner, two sisters Faye Cook and Doris Zwicker, and three brothers Graydon, Maurice and Curtis Brown.

Visiting will take place at the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church; from 2-4 and  6-7 pm on Wednesday October 26, 2016, the funeral service will be from the Church on Thursday October 27th 2016 at 1:00pm with Rev Ward McComiskey officiating.  Donations in Bev’s memory can be made to Seal Cove Wesleyan Church, Grand Manan Hospital Foundation, Grand Manan Nursing Home Foundation, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
