Eunice Marietta Tate

1921-2016

Mrs. Eunice M. Tate of Ingalls Head, Grand Manan Island, NB passed away on Sunday morning, August 28, 2016 at the Grand Manan Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. She was born the daughter of the late Cecil and Mary (Flagg) Bagley. She grew up in a large loving family with eleven siblings. Their father died in 1941, leaving their mother Mary to look after the children. Eunice was a gentle, kind lady. She was a member of the Grand Harbour Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher and a life member of the WMS.

 Eunice is survived by one daughter Mary Green (Burtis); two sons Mervin Tate (Brenda) and Robert Tate (Elsa) all of Ingalls Head; Seventeen grandchildren; Thirty seven great grandchildren and sixteen great great grandchildren. Seven sisters; Myrtle Dow, Bernice Hall, Nina Lee, Marcia Cook (Wendell), Gwendolyn Green, Natalie Urquhart,  Sheila Fiander (Vance), one sister in law Esther Bagley and one brother in low Gene Guptill.  She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Myhron Tate (2003) one son, Paul Tate, one grandson Tony Dow, two sisters, Beatrice Hockley, and Isabelle Guptill, and two brothers Frank and Angus Bagley.

Visiting will take place at the Community Life Church from 2-4 and 7-9 on Tuesday August 30th, 2016. The Funeral Service will be from the Church on Wednesday August 31st, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery. Donations in Eunice’s memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
