Chester Leonard Green
1927-2016
Mr. Chester L. Green, of Ingalls Head, Grand Manan, NB, passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. He was born in Ingalls Head the son of Jasper and Flossie (Foster) Green.
Chester worked on the water for most of his working life as a lobster, scallop, ground fish and net fisherman. Chester is survived by his wife of sixty-six years; Alice Mae (Taylor) Green. Three daughters; Ardis Dow of Tower Hill, NB; Joan (David) Harvey of Grand Harbour, and Nancy Green of Seal Cove. One son David Green of Saint John, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Chester is predeceased by one grandson, Tony Dow in (2004).
Visiting will take place at Ells Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday August 11, 2016. The funeral Service will be from Central Wesleyan Church on Friday August 12 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery. Donation can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
