Donna Dean

DEAN: DONNA MARIE (LEBLANC):  With pain and grief we announce the passing of Ms. Donna Marie Dean on July 13, 2016 age 62 years. It was a beautiful summer afternoon on which she peacefully left us and joined her parents, Constance (Nice)                 and Alban Leblanc. She was born on June 22, 1954, in Saint John, NB, and was raised there, but she enjoyed the latter half of her life on Grand Manan Island, where many have felt her kindness.

   Donna is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 25 years, Andrew Leighton of Castalia, Grand Manan; her son William AJ Dean, whom she raised from birth and never failed to love or support; and her dear sons brought to her by Andy, Scott Leighton (Alisha) and Geoff Leighton (Laura), and three grandchildren all of who loved her and whom she loved.

  Donna is also survived by who mourn her passing. These include her loving siblings Linda Kennedy (Allan), Sharon Leblanc (Mike), Steve Leblanc (Jill), Wayne Leblanc (Lorraine), Alban Leblanc (Cheryl), Phyllis Leblanc (Carl), Doug Leblanc, Gray Leblanc (Charline), and Tammy Gillet (Kevin), as well as their loving aunts, Yvonne and Phyllis. In addition to this, there are many nieces and nephews who loved her and were loved by her, and also many loving in-laws from her previous marriage.

   Visiting will take place at The Immanuel Family Church on Friday July 15, 2016 from 7-9 pm. The funeral will take place from the Church on Saturday July 16, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dana Dean and Rev. Mark Munn officiating. The interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Donation in memory of Donna may be made to The Charlotte County Cancer Society, or a Cancer charity of the donor’s choice. It was cancer that took her from us. It was a quiet villain, until it suddenly wasn’t. It gave no signs and caused no problems, until it suddenly did. And, so God gained another angel, way too soon. We miss you already-so much! And we’ll love you forever.
